Experienced Support
My name is Maureen Magee and I am the married mother of two grown-up daughters, so I have "been there and done that".
My career as a health visitor and lactation consultant began when I trained to be a midwife in the '70s.
In the '80s I trained as an ITU nurse and trained as a health visitor, also in the 80’s. I followed this with the UNICEF-recognised Train-the-Trainers course. Finally, I qualified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). In addition to this, I have also undertaken a course in the Alexander technique, so I can teach you how to look after your back - something I wish someone taught me while I was breastfeeding!
ITU nursing has taught me how to make you comfortable when you are feeding your baby and how to angle cushions for an effective and comfortable feed.

The decades of experience I’ve had in health visiting have put me in a fantastic position to help both you and your baby.
